An Indian Wedding at Art Ovation, Sarasota, for Vicky and Jagdeep

As in most Indian weddings, the day begins with the traditional Groom’s Baraat.  Jagdeep rode the beautiful white horse down Palm Avenue to the Art Ovation Hotel.  There he, and his family members, were welcomed by Vicky’s family.

There was breakfast for the guests prior to the ceremony.  As in typical Sikh fashion, clean white sheets were spread on the floor, and guests removed their shoes and covered their heads. Lunch followed the ceremony.  After a short, late afternoon, break everyone returned for dinner and dancing at the evening reception.
